These terms govern your use of this site, operated by CarbonDSP (“CarbonDSP,” “we,” “us”), whose registered address is 12 Klondike Street, Nashua, NH 03060, United States. By creating an account or downloading a plugin from this site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Downloading a demo (trial) version doesn’t require an account. Downloading a full plugin, free or paid, does. You agree to provide an accurate email address, to keep your password confidential, and to let us know if you believe your account has been compromised. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Accounts are personal to you and aren’t transferable.
You agree not to:
Each plugin you download is licensed to you personally for use under these terms — downloading it does not transfer ownership of the software to you. Free plugins are licensed at no cost, subject to the acceptable-use terms above. Paid plugins are purchased through our checkout, processed by Stripe; your license begins once payment is confirmed, and the plugin is added to your account’s downloads immediately. We do not offer refunds: every paid plugin has a fully functional 7-day demo, so you can evaluate it in full before purchase, and our plugins ship without copy protection. Your license is transferable — you may sell or give it to another person, provided you contact us (section 13) so we can move it to their account and remove it from yours. A transfer takes effect only once we have made that change.
Some parts of this site let you post — community boards and, if you are a beta tester, a plugin’s beta discussion. What you write there is yours. You keep ownership of it, and by posting you give us permission to store and display it on this site so other signed-in members can read it. That permission is only what is needed to run the boards; we do not use your posts for marketing or license them to anyone else.
These boards are visible to signed-in members, not to the open internet, and are not indexed by search engines. Even so, treat a post as something other people will read — do not put anything there you would not want another member to see.
We may remove a post, lock a thread, or suspend or withdraw access to the community if it breaks the acceptable-use terms in section 3. We will normally tell you why. A community suspension affects the boards only — your account, your licences, and your downloads are unaffected.
If you delete your account, your posts stay where they are but stop being attributed to you: your name is removed and they show as written by a member. This is because a discussion involves other people, and removing one side of it would break the thread for everyone who took part. If a specific post needs to come down, contact support and we will deal with it individually.
This site, and the plugins distributed on it, are the property of CarbonDSP or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership rights to you beyond the limited license to use a plugin described above.
We may update, change, or discontinue a plugin or a feature of the site at any time. We’ll try to avoid disrupting access to plugins you’re already entitled to, but we don’t guarantee the site or any plugin will be available uninterrupted or error-free.
You can stop using this site at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including the acceptable-use section above. Where practical, we’ll try to give notice first.
This site and the plugins on it are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CarbonDSP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or a plugin. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where CarbonDSP operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of this site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
